December Issue Of Designer Magazine Is Out Now

by | Dec 2, 2019 | #design

Editor, Martin Allen-Smith discusses how we wrap up a busy 2019 with this month’s typically packed issue of Designer Magazine.

This month, our bathroom trends focus includes some of the most interesting new additions over the past year within a sector that is constantly evolving. New finishes, colours and styles keep bathroom styling as fresh as ever, so we reveal what’s hot right now and take a peek at some of what’s to come in 2020.

Elsewhere, we feature the latest RIBA Stirling Prize winner, an innovative people-centric housing scheme in Norwich which is only the second residential project to have won what is one of architecture’s biggest accolades. It certainly provides architects, designers and planners with a vision of how housing developments could – and probably should – look in the future.

And talking of winners, we speak with designer Emma Bice of Lauren Nicholas Design about her winning entry in Sub-Zero & Wolf’s international Kitchen Design Contest which was held recently in Charleston, South Carolina. It is among a number of contrasting projects featured in this month’s magazine, each of which showcases some of the very best in current design thinking.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has read and supported Designer throughout the year. We always value your feedback so do get in touch with thoughts and ideas on how we can further help to raise the bar in innovative design thinking.
